Welcome to the website for
The AbbeyChurch is a Sunday afternoon worshiping community with 'open-table' communion and childrens' / youth programming. Whoever you are, we invite you to visit or even consider making the AbbeyChurch your 'home' place of worship. We gather on Sundays at 4pm at 932 Balmoral Rd. at Quadra in The United Commons (formerly the First Met building) - enter from Quadra. We have a potluck about once a month after worship - usually the last Sunday of the month. More details about AbbeyChurch here.
The Emmaus Community is our monastically-inspired intentional community whose members share a 'rule of life' and commit to lives of prayer, presence and simplicity together. The Emmaus Community hosts the AbbeyChurch as one of our expressions of worship - and we pray together many weekday mornings (currently Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri - schedule here), we have neighbourhood partnerships, do craft industry / D-I-Y as fundraisers and are currently looking to build or find a housing co-op / monastic hub. Read more about Emmaus here.
All of our worship and prayer times are open to all.

As a witness to unity and diversity, the AbbeyChurch and Emmaus are an ecumenical shared ministry of The United Church of Canada and The Anglican Church of Canada. We intentionally draw on the 'jewels' of these traditions, as well as the wider church. We are a CRA registered charity.
Watch livestreams of our Sunday worship (note we are not livestreaming for Advent but will post sermon / highlights early each week)
Mark your calendars for these great events coming up.
