Imagine Childrens' Retreat

Hello dear AbbeyKids’ parents and grown ups,

I’ve just heard that the wonderful United Church children’s retreat is open for registration — I’m wondering if your kiddo would like to go with me!

It’s an annual retreat that the United Church has been holding for over 10 years now - even during covid, when they held it as an online retreat, it was so beautiful. I have attended myself as a parent with my own kiddos, and as a member of the leadership team. 

The one closest to us is on Shawnigan Lake, held at Camp Pringle. We will be in the heated accommodation! 

Imagine Children’s Retreat at Camp Pringle

Dates: Feb 28-Mar 2 (two nights) 2025

Ages: 8-11 years

Cost: $200 per person *but* there is funding we can get to bring the cost down to whatever works for you at this time

Friends and cousins are very welcome to come along as well! They can access the bursaries too even if not part of AbbeyChurch or the United Church. 

If your kiddo is stoked to go, you can register them right away (you don’t need to wait for any kind of group registration process), amd forward this email to friends or family for them to register too. Put my name, Tressa Brotsky, as the leader and/ or AbbeyChurch as the community of faith you’re from (even if not a member) to help the organizers group your kiddo in with the others coming with us. 

If you want to talk about the retreat and details before registering, please reply to this email with the best way to chat (email, phone call, text) and I’ll connect with you asap. 

And if it’s a hard no, meaning you don’t need to get any other emails or nudges about attending this specific event, give a quick reply with just a quick line, ‘no more info needed’. I’ll be sure to honour that!
